2:57 am - Super Awesome WES ANDERSON MUGS!!

Here is a direct link to her store. I bought all the mugs and the Jaguar Shark bumper sticker for my car! Seriously, these are awesome and need to be shared with fans. I wasn't sure about the quality, but when I ordered them and they arrived...they're AWESOME.

I contacted the person and they said they'll be posting more over the next week! I can't wait to order more!

12:46 am - first post.

The Royal Tenenbaums is by far my favorite movie, period. My boyfriend and I chose to dress as Margot and Richie Tenenbaum this Halloween. The majority of my friends recognized the costumes at a recent Halloween party, but even the ones who didn't appreciated Dallas as Richie. Gotta love the fake facial hair!

I always wanted to be a Tenenbaum.Collapse )

4:30 pm - Question

hallo friends and fans of jazz,

i'm kind of desperate.
i am working on an essay on music in Wes Anderson's films,
but I can't find out who did the title song of the movie.
You can here the song in the youtube clip below; it starts immediately in the first seconds:

Probably someone of you know the artist and title of the song.
thank you so much for your help in advance!

1:26 pm - Rushmore (1998)

Dear friends,

I am working on an essay on the role of art in Wes Andersons "Rushmore" and need a little bit of your help. I focus especially on the opening scene of "Rushmore". You can see it below:

1. Does someone of you know who painted this picture? In the commentary of the Criterion Collection Wes said that it was done by a Mexican artist. But there are a lot of artists in Mexico I think.  Where is the picture now?

2. Does someone know who designed this opening secne. I think it was Wes but I couldn't find something out about a special designer for title / ending sequences Wes is working with.

3. How could I ask Wes questions on the meaning of art in his films. Does someone know how to get in contact with him or his agent?

Thank you so very much for your help in advance.

I went here from the official Darjeeling website, and in the margins, it says the dvd contains not only Featurette(S!!), but a deleted scene! Huh???

My edition only contains a single featurette. A trailer, and no deleted anything. Anybody know if this is but a mere mistake? Or... Does the full-frame dvd have anything?

Having read the script, I know of many sequences that could've been released as a deleted bit on the dvd. Especially the 'cricket game' portion, which is referenced to briefly in the film, and ALSO on the featurette, as something which WAS shot. Hrmpf!

I purchased Darjeeling on Tuesday very much praying an upcoming, double or triple disc release was on the way in the near to far distant future. Let's all pray together and get the correct mojo flowing for such to be more then just grave hopes!

12:38 am - "All Story" Hotel Chevalier alert!

I was at Borders tonight and I randomly happened upon an issue of "Zoetrope All Story" magazine (specifically Winter 2007 Vol 11 no. 4) which had published in it the entire screenplay for Hotel Chevalier. I don't know if this is available anywhere else, but I figured if it is it's still worth pointing out to Wes Anderson fans. Keep an eye out for it, it's definitely something to snag...nothing really changes from script to screen, but a couple of quirky details stick out in the script that went over my head when watching the finished product. Go pick up your copy now while it's still available!

11:02 am - walking out of the elevator before sticking a gum to the wall.

i was given the life aquatic movie by someone, then somebody borrowed it and moved away and just decided to give it to them.

so i was at blockbuster last night trying to return my blockbuster mail movies exchange for some more films
and there was walking around the for sale pile and saw the life aquatic criterion collection glowing right at me.

although it wasnt priced i grabbed it and continued on my search for other films.
i went up to the counter to ask if it was for sale. and you people wouldnt believe what the guy said...

"why do you even want to buy that? its dumb, 45 minutes into it."
i responed with "WHHHHHHHAT?... do you even know who this is by?, its one of my favorite movies.. my favorite director."

during this whole time, this was going on my head...
- i really wanted to ask the guy what his top films are, if he knew classic silents, french new waves and noirs.
- how can somebody so ignorant work at a place they dont know anything about.
- thats no way to talk to a customer, one bad naming youre store and two shitting on my favorite director.

i get it, that you dont like his movies.
you got a different perspective.

all i wanted to think about was to torture him just like clockwork orange playing nothing but anderson.
hahaha pretty sadistic?

just wanted to share that, i was pissed.

current mood: operation hnnessey.

7:37 pm - what are you doing in my tent?

I was driving to work, running errands, picking up mum etcetera etcetera.

and all I listened too was the Wes Anderson movie soundtracks.
hardly cant drive sometimes without music.

I kept scrolling up and down my Ipod, and for some of you people that do have it, I know it can be quite a pain to do so whilst driving.

Hence I put together this playlist..

current mood: get off my fucking boat!
